Estate Administration Upon an individual's death or disability, their estate plan will need to be administered or "settled". Effective and experienced legal assistance will provide that the process will be smooth. In the event that the probate process is necessary to administer the terms of a will or to initiate a guardianship, our office has over 30 years of experience working through the New Hampshire Probate Courts. We provide caring assistance to families who are in grief, and handle the multitude of details and court requirements by efficient and effective means. Education and communication with the family, as well as friendly and prompt assistance, are important. If trusts are used as the means for estate planning, many families are surprised to find that there is an administrative process required to assure that the instructions in the trusts are properly followed. Properly- drafted trusts will, however, be generally easier and quicker to administer than wills. As attorneys who advocate the use of trusts in proper estate planning, we use our wisdom and experience to assist families in the implementation of effective tax and distribution planning. Our staff is well trained and always available to our clients. Our office has also implemented a program to educate our clients and their families about the process of maintaining a trust-based estate plan and the requirements and duties that the trusts will place on trustees. We have found that this education process builds both confidence and communication among the family members. |
